How does the 360 look through VGA?

Just curious about how the games look through VGA cables compared to Component...i hear that component has better colors and what not...this true? How does the 360 look through VGA?
Just curious about how the games look through VGA cables compared to Component...i hear that component has better colors and what not...this true?
not true. with the spring '07 update, you can adjust the black level from the display options. setting it to ''expanded'' now gives you the same black level and color fidelity as component but being that it's VGA, you'll also enjoy the 1:1 pixel mapping. How does the 360 look through VGA?
They look just fine over here. With the new spring update, there's a new option in the display section for ''Reference Levels.'' Make sure you set it to ''Expanded'' to darken the colors back to normal (on certain monitors you will need this option). Resolutions available include: 640x480, 848x480, 1024x768, 1280x720, 1280x768, 1280x1024 (what I use on every game except Oblivion), 1360x768, 1920x1080. You should be good to go if you have the VGA HD/AV cable.

Can you purchase Xbox 360 AV cables and ...

I've been looking for a Xbox 360 on ebay and have found many come without AV cables or power cords, can your purchase the standerd AV cable, and a power cord? Where can you? Also is the power cord for the first Xbox the same as the power cord for the Xbox 360?

M$ should fix your broken 360 for free, ...

Microsoft should be responsible for fixing broken xbox 360s for free, even without a warranty.....The Uniform Commercial Code, which applies to the sale of goods, has an a term that is implied by the operation of law, even if it does not appear on the face of the contract. It is called the ''Implied Warranty of Merchantability''. This implied warranty states that goods are fit for ordinary use. Here, there is a known defect in the console; therefore, by this implied warranty in the UCC, Microsoft should be responsible for covering the cost to fix their product because they are technically in breach of this warranty.I just finished my first year of law school and learned about this implied warranty. Plus, you don't really have to know what you are talking about. Just get a manager on the phone and start yelling legal jargon and you should get your xbox fixed for free.I know Microsoft has ridiculous lawyers that have written up their contract agreements, BUT the managers will not know anything about the law, and you can easily get **** for free if you are annoying enough. M$ should fix your broken 360 for free, ...
Seems to me that anyone buying a 360 would know about the problems and purchase an extended warranty. $40 is a small price to pay for peace of mind.M$ should fix your broken 360 for free, ...
i think they do if u know how to work them over right. my friends`s launch 360 just died and he got it fixed for free...
lol Well if my 360 breaks again which hopefully it doesnt I will try that. They will never own up completly to the breaking consols because they make allot of money off of people sending their consols in.

Does VGA Cable go with any monitor?

im going to college next year, and im am getting a pc and bringing my 'box with me. im glad to know i can just connect my 360 to my pc monitor via the VGA cable, instead of having to buy another tv(which i wouldnt do). but do all current PC monitors(im maybe getting a Dell computer) have the VGA inputs? I'd hate to buy a PC and find out my monitor wont connect to my 360Does VGA Cable go with any monitor?
Usually, 9 times out of 10. It doesn't hurt to check with the model number though.Does VGA Cable go with any monitor?
I'm sure you have already purchased it or you're planning on purchasing it but make sure you actually buy the xbox360 vga cable.
Most have VGA inputs. Just check the specs before you buy.

........Banjo Kazooie 3 for the 360. I heard that it was coming out this year but there's absoloutely no information on this game at all. Has it been canceled, or we can we expect some info on it at E3?A certain game that appears to have been ...
Anyone? I don't think anyone knows that this game exists, lolA certain game that appears to have been ...
why would anyone care about this game?
why would anyone care about this game?
Why? Good greif, cos it's an amazing platforming series. And the 360 needs some good platformers..
I had fun with banjo kazooie on the n64
why would anyone care about this game?
There will be people who care. I'm not one of them though. RARE use to be one of the best developers around. They aren't as good as they use to be. Maybe they should try to get back some of the guys that moved to Free Radical.
i played the first one on 64 (least i think it's the first)was a fun game all around with lots of good puzzles and plenty of hours of gameplay.not sure if it's still gonna get released but ign.com has one trailer...http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/015/015334/vids_1.html
I rather play conker.
It will be released, but i highly doubt this year. We haven't seen anything more about it and even if it did come out this year it would be a horrible time for it to do so. This is already has too many highly anticipated games and Banjo-Kazooie (if more details are given) would be hidden on a console that is a console for ''mature/hardcore'' gamers. If it was going onto the Wii then this year would be a great year for its release, but even still we have seen almost nothing more about it than the first trailer. As i said before i truly believe it will not be canceled... mainly for the reason that Microsoft wants to get all types and ages of gamers to the 360 and Rare is their way to doing so. My opinion (yes i said MY opinion) is that all Rares games, while not selling extremely well or mabye even well, have all been good games. While they arn't up to par with their N64 games they still show the was Rare is capable and personally i would rather play Viva Pinata right now over Gears.
I highly believe we'll see something at E3. I don't think they'll release it this year because it might slip under the radar with all these big titles coming out.
I can't wait for this game. Hopefully it will live up to the the N64 titles. In my opinion Mario had nothing on the Banjo-Kazooie series.
i neva played it but diddy kong racing from RARE was way underrated so banjo would get a look from me on the 360 good ? gamer duuude
Heck yes! I want that and another Conkers. The Xbox version owned but I liked the old Conker's multiplayer more.
Ya i would like a new conker. I loved the online for the xboxes conker i played that for a long time
I tottally spaced this game it looks like it will be really good but I need to play the first 2 games before that one but hopefully it doesn't pull a starcraft:ghost or duke nukem (will take) forever (to come out).
I just dont know about that game I wasnt a fan of the first one but im up for something then a shooter.
I've been waiting for it since Banjo Tooie ended.
they better come with some fresh new ideas, because platforming is getting old, something like Ratchet and clank and stuffmaybe thatwhy they are taking so long, its hard to revive platform games at this point in gaming, everyone want stupid minigames (wii) or violent shooters (i like this games, thats why i got a 360)platformers arent that succesful these days...remember kameo? it was really good lookin' and fun but wasnt a huge hit
i guess that one would be worth a play but i would rather see a new conker
Banjo and Kazooie can die and go back to the forest. since when does a bird like in a backpack and run around with a bear attached to its back?!

I am a big fan of the Ghost Recon's but i am also exited about the new Conviction game under the category of Splinter Cell. Which do u guys prefer?Which Tom Clancy series are better? GRAW ...
i prefer Splinter Cell's games.Which Tom Clancy series are better? GRAW ...
i never liked the original Splinter Cell for the 1st XBox...
I personally like the Ghost Recon series because it's been revamped twice and I love the multiplayer in GRAW.
GRAW!!!
GRAW because i see splinter cell as a cheap rip off of MGS.
i can't stand that stealthy kinda gameplay in Splinter Cell games. You can sorta use it in the GRAW games but its mostly still a shoot 'em up kinda campaign.
man tough choice, but i'd have to go with splinter cell
i prefer Splinter Cell's games.
Me too. And the new Convistion looks really different. I don't know if that's a good or bad thing yet, though.
I've liked Splinter Cell series a lot more, but Double Agent felt like a mis-step in the continuity and evolution of the series. I don't know why, I just couldn't get into the single-player of double agent like I did with Chaos Theory.
GRAW
Its called Conviction
Splinter Cell....nuff said
i like GRAW more... although both feel very trial and error based.
Splinter Cell for shur. Its one of my favorite series of all time. That said, I wouldnt recomend Double Agent. By far the worst in its series. If your just looking for a good 360 game, i would just buy Rainbow Six. So far all the Tom Clancy games have been a let down this gen. Last time on xbox 1 i played the hell out of Ghost Recon 2, Rainbow Six, and Splinter Cell. But not this time.
GRAW2
splinter cell
Both are great games. It's really hard for me to prefer one over the other.
Ghost Recon and Ghost Recon Island Thunder were some of the best multiplayer, co-op 'n team based, games on Live,,,,With that said, Rainbow Six 3 was THE best Live game,,, I still miss it,,, :/Lol, anyways, The Splinter Cell series are also good, but the 1st two held my attention more than the others. Never finished Chaos Theory, 'n Double Agent was good, but not the amazingness of the 1st two,,Butttt,,, Lets see,,, GRAW IMHO has better multiplayer, but if you're lookin for something different, try SC.

I'm interested in knowing, which is safest position to stand the console. Horizontal or Vertical?
I've heard from different people that Horizontal is safest for the console, but also from other people that vertical orientation is better for the console.
Which, in your opinions, is the best way to position the console?
I'm not really asking which is prefered, but which is recommended?

Thanks.

Vertical has always scratched my game disks, and plus theres more heat ventilation when it's horizontal.Horizontal or Vertical - What's best/saf ...

Doesn't matter in the slightest. If you have problems when vertical, you would have had them too when horizontal. It's totally up to you how to position your console. In doesn't matter at all. However, vertically, you have more chance of tipping it over. But other then that you can place it how you want.

well I switched to horizontal, a couple of months ago, but my 360 still scratched about 3 of my disks and destroyed one them.. I never had this problem when I had it in Vertical.. well thats just me
To answer your question, I'm a firm believer that horizontal is the safest way (and if not, it's definitly not worse). I have two 360's from launch; one a core and one a premium that are kept horizontal and both work great.
I have it vertical, and never had any problem. By the way, after 2 months of having it vert, i tried to put it horizontal, and it freezed lots of times, till i switched it back to vert. :/

Something happens and people automatically start pulling conclusions while they know nothing about it. Horizontal or Vertical doesn't matter in anyway. If your console broke down, it's not because it was in the wrong position. Same for disc scratching. If it happened in one position it would have happened in the other. Some people just don't know what they are talking about and start making up conclusions.I've had three 360's scratching my discs. I'm currently waiting for my fourth to return. They were all horizontal. It's just a bunch of BS that the position would have anything to do with it.

And to be truly honest, they should have had the rubber pads from the start. They are pretty much standard drives like the Samsung one; it's a drive that already existed and they used that drive in the 360 as well. Strangely, it has been proven that this standard drive from Samsung, which has protective pads in the original, somehow were left out for the 360.Microsoft starting adding them to all drives in 2006. Really, if it scratches, you just have a faulty drive and should send it in anyway. So if somehow it's proven that it's more likely to scratch discs vertically, then it doesn't matter anyway because that is proof that you do not have a correct drive and should have it replaced. In the end, you may be right. But that is a theory on faulty drives. A 360 with a good drive can handle both positions.
The only difference I have found is that it can be knocked over when vertical which is why iI keep mine horizontal. But that is the only reason.

Simply TERRIBLE

Hi everyone, I am so frusterated right now I wanted to come on here and run a few things by all of you.

I have had my 360 since launch and it finally broke two weeks ago (3 FLASHING RED LIGHTS) this was my worst nightmare as an owner of the flawed launch batch. However I had always up to this point supported Microsoft and the 360 since mine operated flawlessly until the other day.

Regardless, I called 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and was helped by a customer support agent that actually spoke some english, I was amazed.

He promised that they would be shipping me a pre-paid UPS box and I should expect it within 3-5 business days later. Over a week later and I still had no UPS box to ship the broken 360 back to Microsoft to get my replacement.

I decided that the best route was to call the support line again and spoke to a supervisor that told me that for some ''UNKNOWN'' reason my repair order is still being processed over a week later and he was going to escilate my status within the system, and a ''REPAIR TEAM'' service member would call me on Monday and get me a UPS box.

There is evidently no other numbers to call and this supervisor (DRE S.) cannot transfer my call directly. I have been nice and polite through this whole 30 minute conversation, I am afterall a 24 year old adult that owns a business of my own, I just like to play games in my spare time.

Basically I feel that I am being jerked around by Microsoft at this point and have no alternate ways to handle my situation.

So now that you know my situation I am left I feel with three options:

1. Wait for an extended period of time and see if Microsoft gets their act together and deliver upon their promise to handle my broken 360.

2. THE ''TOWEL TRICK'' I have read on neumerous sites that wrapping a broken 360 in towels and running it for a period of no more that 15-20 mins, heats the unit enough to repair broken solder joints and CAN repair a red lighting 360.

3. Finally my last option and the one I may ultimatley choose... I intend if neither options 1 or 2 work to duct tape an extreme number of M-80s to my broken 360 and use my digital camcorder to film the first 360 to be blown to a million pieces. I then intend to gather all of the broken scraps of 360 and send them, along with a complementary DVD to the Microsoft repair center, as a way to voice my dis-satisfaction.

By the way... for my inconvenience, Microsoft is offering me a FREE MONTH of XBOX LIVE GOLD... ARE YOU F*%26%ING KIDDING ME! A 5 DOLLAR VALUE... FOR WEEKS OF INCONVENIENCE!!!!! WHAT A JOKE.

Well I just want to know what everyone thinks. I would like some input.I would like for everyone interested in option #3 the M-80 detonatiing 360 to donate to my paypal fund LOL! Simply TERRIBLE
I say do the towel trick which is only a short lived temporary fix anyway - that way you can play for the next couple of days. Then make sure you talk to the tech guys or a superviosr at support on Monday. I hope you got a reference number from your call as it will make talking to a supervisor much easier. Make sure and talk to a supervisor if the repair department doesn't call you back on their own. I would have MS repair the unit though as they are now adding the extra heatsinks to repaired consoles - essentially improving the units over their off the shelf configuration. So you will actually get an improved unit back if you have them repair it. They are usually pretty good with turn around time once they receive the unit. But yeah - use the towel trick until you get it sent to them.Just my 2 cents.:)PS - That would be one heck of an expensive firework if you choose option 3.Simply TERRIBLE
cool story. If this 360 i have now dies, its hello PS3 and see you later 360 for a while.
Trust me I have wasted over $400 on fireworks before, for the fourth of july, so while it is an expensive alternative, I do inted to film it, and put it up on youtube. If I have to call MS customer support agian, if they do not call me back as promised I will be an even un-happier (I dont think thats even a word) camper.Regardless, I would become well known on the net as the guy who blew up his broken 360 in protest and sent the remains to the microsoft repair center, and that would be cool too.:D

I feel for you man. Had to replace my launch unit. But be patient. The 360's saving grace in my mind isthe great library of games and system (when working hehehe) are so compelling its worth dealing with the headaches. I was really upset (Mad upset) but once i got it backI got over it. its a testament to how much I enjoy the 360.Its not like I can stuff it in the closet and go play my PS3 with its non existent library. Oh, you could get a Wii!!!! LMAO
The towel trick doesn't work. It's a childish idea of fixing something.

hey man, i got the same exact problem a few days ago, but i got the 1 flashing light (which i have no idea what it means, the website didnt say specifically niether did customer support.) Payed my $150 since my warranty expired (also first launch360 owners). They said 3-4days, yeawell its already theseventh and hope to god i get it soon. Tried the towel trick but it didnt work.Imacall tomorrow and if not i ma gonna be very angry.......and send them an angry letter. Or illl just disect my 360 and have fun with it. Muahahaha!
i hope mine doesnt break :(
same thing happened to me. i got soo tired of waiting for the ups box that i went to costco (thank god i bought it there) becasue MS was probably going to send me a refurb, and returned it. they gave me cash back, told me to go back in line and buy a new one (which i got more money back because teh price of teh 360 bundle went down), and even let me switch my hardrive. thank god.

This wasnt an internet arguement. I knew this person and it was face to face.
6 in one, half-dozen in the other. It's still arguing just for the sake of arguing. This thread will get locked soon anyways, so start looking for your rebuttals in system wars.
Okay, I will tell you what I would do:I wouldn't try to say that the 360 is ''better,'' instead I would try to say how they can both do basically the same thing and for proof, you just tell them to look at games like Gears, Mass Effect, GRAW 2, DiRT, etc. It's much easier to just say they are more or less equal than it is to try and one up the other system. If you look up the specs the 360 beats the PS3 in some areas and vice versa. Plus, you get way better online from 360 and you actually get the vibration function with your controller. Honestly though, I would just see if he would agree that they are both solid systems. If not, then bring out the big guns (there is a killer article where a game designer breaks down the systems and shows why the 360 is better) and throw it in his face!
you're right!!But if u really want to argue with him, say thisWell, xbox 360 is better because it has better games, has the best online service, looks better, has a better controller and better graphics(that enough?)o and if he brags aboau the blue-ray tell him that u buy a gaming console for playing games and if u want to watch movies ull get a dvd or a blue-reay player!!!!!

It has been a while since I have played a good football game. Which is better Fifa 07 or Winning Eleven 7? Or wait for Fifa 08?looking for a good Football game.
Madden, hahahalooking for a good Football game.
get uefa 07
football...football...id say give Blitz The League s try, it is a pretty good game! lol
Get Winning Eleven Pro Evolution Soccer 2007 you wont regret it. :D
wait for madden 08
wait for the next winning eleven august.september time this year
I had both, came with console. I traded in FIFA as it was no good but this Pro Evo is poor. If I was you I would wait till Pro Evo 8 as they are re-writing all the code. Which will hopefully push FIFA to be better. However I guess Pro evo would be the one to get.... again
I would wait til Fifa 08 and Pro Evo 7 because Pro Evo 6 was quite poor and Fifa 07 was lacking a lot.
wait...ain't you talkin about soccer!?! well I still don't know why they call soccer here in the states and football in others. its dang confusing
do what im doin, wait for madden
oops...
I would wait for next years games.
I'm waiting for NCAA Football 2008.
For the people who said Madden and 2K8, take some culture lessons and realize he's talking about ''Football'' and what American's call ''Soccer.''Almost every country refers to what you think is ''Soccer'' as ''Football''

Will the Elite Last Longer?

will it because the only problem (to me) is that the original 360 keeps breaking on eveybody so i hope it does. so if you know it will post a link please. Will the Elite Last Longer?
No. The elite's insides are viturally the same, except for the HDMI. The heatsink/gpu issues were the main problem for causing hardware failure which is the same on both units, although supposedly new xboxes regular and elite will have an extra heatsink here soon.

Anyone use a wired controller even thoug ...

I do, they are cheaper, they are always charged, and I rarely sit far enough away from the 360 that I need more than the 9 feet or whatever they now give you. Plus the controller is lighter which I like also! Anyone use a wired controller even thoug ...
No. I love being wireless. I can never go back to a crappy wired controller.
Plus I like a bit of weight to my controller, it feels more there is you know what I mean.
I like wired ones just because you dont have to buy batteries for the controller.
Pretty much the only reason I use wireless is because it's more convenient for me. If I really didn't need it then I would just use wired
I have a premium and I have two wired controllers. I have wireless ones as well but I bought the wired ones since they were cheaper and i could use them on my PC. I also do like them because I don't have to worry about charging them and I don't play far away from my console anyway so... They are nice to have and are a bit lighter than the wireless ones too. I honestly think it is smart to have one or two because half the time you have to plug in your wireless controllers anyway to charge and they work great for PC games.

Wired for me. Two reasons: no battery hassles, and I can use it on some PC games as it is also a great pad to play with (perfect for adventure games like Dreamfall or any Third-person games).

I only use my wireless controller when I am going to a friends house or while playing Uno. They are just so unreliable. Wired is the way to go for me.
Wireless all the way for me. Buying the recharger kit with two battery packs was the best thing I ever bought for my 360.
Yep.

MGS!!! That will be released on 360 am sure of it
If they do reveal Dead Rising 2, then I would not care about any other announcement.

3 red UNBLINKING lights

ok I heard about all these 3 red blinking lights and that means that ur system is messed up. But what if you get 3 red UNBLINKING lights. Does that mean that it is messed up. When i got it today my system just went black and the red unblinking lights were on. Does this mean is messed up or unplugged cables?????3 red UNBLINKING lights
BBBUUUMMPPPP3 red UNBLINKING lights
im going to guess that your 360 doesn't have the prossecing power to make the lights blink, but yeah your 360's dead and you'll have to send it away to M$ for repairs
Im still playing it but i just want to know if it is a different cause if the red lights blink or not blink.

bump^^^^
I dont exactly know the answer to your question but I bet I know where to find it. Remember that book that came with the system, the ''owner's manual,'' or something of the sort. Crack that bad boy open and somewhere within its text riddled pages should be the answer to your question.
kevster's post is the dumbest i saw on here, read it right damit, he saids he just got the systemOk dude, my advice is to take it to the store and get it replaced!

^ Lmao...Try pushing your power cord in fully because on some of them it kinda' comes out a bit and the console then starts to blink and stays off instead of turning on. Don't just sent it off until you check what's up or you might lose some money for nothing.I'm sure you can find an online manual of some sort or something as well or check some google answers.
maybe an answer on google or xbox.com?
doesnt four mean the 360 is dead. Anyway i got the three during a game and turned if off, turned it back on and it worked fine. never seen any unblinking lights

I've noticed this too. I always have to higher it a little when watching DVD's.Less sound when playing DVD's than when ...
Yeah, I've noticed that too. Bring up the DVD menu and make sure the Dynamic range control or DRC is turned off. It probably is. DVDs sound a little softer, but HD-DVDs are super quiet unless they have a DolbyTruHD soundtrack which sounds a little better, at least to me. My advice would be to play DVDs in a DVD player, if you have the option. The extra wear on the 360 drive can be bad and lead to you getting the dreaded ''This disc is dirty or damaged'' error message, it's not too common but it can happen.
So you're saying that DVD movies cause more wear on the Xbox 360's disc drive than DVD-L's (games)? You mean my 360 will start scratching discs if I watch too many DVD's?
i dont really notice it, since i adjust the sound with every game and movie i put in. Some i like loud, others i dont
this happened to me and my friend yesterdya we gad to turn it up really loud

The gameplay is all running around shooting things but it has some depth. One aspect is collecting items, either armor or weapons, which has a Crackdown orb like addictiveness to it. Another is the guns, which not only are there a wide variety of, but they all have there strengths and weaknesses, so the levels play different depending on which weapons you choose.
Why didn't theyadd in online co-op!?! This question has been driving me crazy!
I don't know, probably something to do with the budget, but yeah that should be a given. However, if enough people support it hopefully we can get some downloadable content or a full fledged sequel.
I have been wanting to get it but haven't yet.
Doesnt it get repetivte ME NO GOOD AT RINGRISH
Doesnt it get repetivte ME NO GOOD AT RINGRISH
You know, that's one of the games flaws. Somewhere around the middle the levels start to feel a bit recycled, but thankfully the game really hits its stride in the end, culminating in the absolute best final boss battle in recent memory. The last stage is really spectacular. However, one thing that keeps it fresh even in the stages that are repetitive is that you areALWAYS getting new weapons, and as I've said that really changes how you play the game.

THIS IS DUMB!!!! XBLA related!

I have two accounts on my xbox. I bought a couple games when I first got my 360 and then made my new one with the majority of my GP. I played the older XBLA games on account 2 before and received some achievements. Today I went to play some Geo Wars and noticed I only had the trial version when I knew I had purchased it on account 1. Does anyone know why I can't play the games on my new account when I could in the past? This boggles my mind...I think I may call Xbox tomorrow if I cant get an answer. THIS IS DUMB!!!! XBLA related!

Ummm well I'm not exactly sure, but if you bring over your hard-drive to a friends you can't play your arcade games unless your on Xbox Live. Very stupid, and I hate it. I just got my Elite and I have to have it connected to XBL just to play them. Just a way of Microsoft's practices. I however don't know how that whole account one or two thing works, but you'd think it work since its on the original system.
I recently had my xbox fixed, and well, I guess it was unrepairable. When they sent me a new xbox I put my hdd on it which had all of my arcade games on it. But when I checked to see if I still had them, I found that they had been all turned into trials. I e mailed microsoft, but they wouldnt give me a refund. Its ridiculous. Im out 50 dollars for something that is not my fault. So, I feel for ya man.

kill brad then come back later

In dead rising, you know the achievement for taking a picture of zombified brad? Well I killed him and left for a few hours, if I go back will his body still be there??kill brad then come back later
If you mean you killed him near the beginning of the game, then no. You will have the chance to get that achievement at a specific point in the game if you trigger it. I won't spoil anything here, so check some FAQs about it.kill brad then come back later
No, killed him in the tunnels after he was bitten by zombies after carlito left him for dead. I came and it triggered the cut scene, I killed him and then left. Will his body stay there for the rest of the game?
You have to take a pic before you kill him and no I don't know why you left it anyways without taking it.

• Which racing game to get?

Should I get Test Drive Unlimited or Need for Speed: Most Wanted. I wan't a good free roaming game that is very fun. I would also wan't the one with more/better achievements. To anyone who has played both, which one would you prefer and why? Thanks to everyone's help in advance! ;)Which racing game to get?
I would actually pick up Need for Speed Carbon. The other Need for Speed is good but Carbon is a bit better. I'm not a fan of Test Drive... I thought it didn't play well...Which racing game to get?
Get ready for the bombbardment of ''OMG FORZA!'' replies.
bump, can anyone plz help me!?!?!?
I much prefer Test Drive to Need for Speed. (Carbon)Test Drive just seemed a lot more fun to me. I particularly liked the fact that when you cruise around the island, it's all online, so you can cruise with friends etc. The cars are great, the graphics are great and so are the races.Plus it's great if you like getting achievements, I currently have 870 points from this game and aim to get the full 1000 before too long.
Thanks Dancc123, anyone who has played both?? I would love your opinion!
I liked Test Drive over Carbon but Most Wanted was very good. But the achievements for Most Wanted are easy and boring, just play through the game and you get them all. Test Drive was fun, and its the only driving game ive ever played that i enjoy getting on and just cruising around the island, no racing, just driving. 46 achievements on Test Drive and they vary in time to complete and difficulty. Alot of them are fun, like driving on every road on the island, or driving 5,000 miles.

To tell you the truth...Cars was a pretty good racing game. And racing games don't get more free roaming than that either.
Forza's pretty sweet, but it seems like you're leaning more toward arcade than simulation, so I'd go with Need for Speed. Carbon is a little more fun than Most Wanted, if you're looking at either of those.

MS has betrayed me

How about you sell the refurb on ebay and then use that money towards a brand new 360?
[This message was deleted at the request of the original poster]
After your 3rd you are supposed to get a brand new one call them back and complain
I don't think too many people in here are going to recomend a PS3 to you. I've been through 2 360's in a year and although it is a bit annoying to be on my 3rd 360 already, I just have never been into any of the few exclusives Sony has to offer. get marvel ultimate alliance and fear. I havent played MUA but from what i heard its a great game and has alot of replay value to it just make sure you get the gold edition because it has all the extra content from the live marketplace. Fear is awesome the single player is pretty scary there will be moments where you will jump and the multiplayer is rather fun the only problem is no one really plays it online too much.

SCDA is worth it if you like those sneaking up type of games. Its not that great, but worth its 25 dollar price. I played FEAR for the PC, and that was pretty fun. It should be just as good on the 360, although I personallydont like console games that were ported from the PC. As for the rest of the games, I haven't owned any except Marvel. I did not like marvel, Im just tired of simple button mashing games. Thats just me, I hate just running around pressing 1 or 2 buttons in different combinations.

After looking at the gameplay footage of the darkness I really wanna play it lol, but idk about the mp. So it's coming down to the mp shadowrun vs the campaign of the darkness.I played shadowrun demo a lot, its good and all, but darkness seems a little more appealing. Shadowrun vs Darkness
The Darkness. It will have an amazing single player, and you can be a Darkling in multiplayer. :DShadowrun vs Darkness

are you kidding me? The darkness all the way. I dont even have to play it i just know it will be that good.
I rented shadowrun its awesome the demo only does it partial justice But im not sure shadowrun is worth buying due too the lack of maps but it is definitely worth renting
Consoles are there because its an easy to use, cheap, controled enviroment. And no, the specs wouldnt be very high.
again u think pc is superior without any reason
Pc gamer uk had a preview on it about 6 months ago. So its probably going to happen
PCs have a better control system, unlimited storage, and the ability to increase their speed. This translates to the option of higher quality models, textures and additional content as well as of course free online for multiplayer.

I hope it comes to pc so then we can have Dragon age..
Halo 2 was ugly when it was first was made and will continue to be like all the halo games.
ok then Resident Evil 4
The Mass Effect trilogy is exclusive to the Xbox 360. Bioware is developing Dragon Age for the PC. Mass Effect will not make it to PC, nor will the other two Mass Effect games.

It's an exclusive at first, but it'll surely make it's way to the PC a few years after release, just like KotOR 1%262 and Jade Empire.
Halo 2 was ugly when it was first was made and will continue to be like all the halo games.
There's just no arguing with a fanboy, is there? The general consensus was that Halo 2 was NOT ugly. I'm in no way against the PC, but I think your reasoning is just pathetic.
Probably like Fable did, not at first but eventually it will go to PC.
no idea about pc........it's for 360, for now, which is what matters to me.
hey teebeez u pc fanboy, **** u

best horror game for 360

what is the best or scariest horror game for the 360 cause i like horror games and some games try to be scary and they aren't my term for scary games are like fatal frame or a silent hill gamebest horror game for 360
Condemned from what I hear. Fear is supposed to be scary... Bioshock's around the corner. I guess Prey gets kinda gruesome at points.best horror game for 360
Condemned. It scared the hell out of me several times man. FEAR isnt scary, just fun with a few jumpers.
the darkness looks freakin sweet
I'd pick Condemned.
the darkness looks freakin sweet
Eating hearts :)
Condemned!!
Condemned easily, as it best fits into the horror genre. FEAR, Prey, and I suspect the Darkness are more action than horror.
I think FEAR i a really good game for horror. It's the kind that catches you by surprise. I thought it was very good.
Condemned. Definitely one of the scariest games I've ever played. The environements look real, AI is super intelligent, and the ambient sounds are horrific.
id say condemned even though I've only played the demo it has a Aerie atmosphere to it. I should get the full game.
Yeah, Id say condemned as well. Its just too bad it was so short and the story was pretty vague. It hadthe potential to be one of the best games of the year, but fell short. But nothing keeps you closer to the edge of your seat then those narrow corridors in Condemned, knowing a crazy psychotic killer is creeping around the corner.
Condemned. It scared the hell out of me several times man. FEAR isnt scary, just fun with a few jumpers.
Fear is not scary it is puzzling and wierd, atleast to me.

I said it wasnt scary.
Condemned in HD with 5.1 in the dark is awesome. Fear... Fear not so much.
Condemned until now. Cannot wait for Resident Evil 5 or a new Silent Hill, any of those would definitely top the next gen horror games, as always.
Condemned , no question . the darkness looks more like your what's scary , but still freaky .
id say condemned never layed it but heard it was a great horror game. Alone in the Dark looks promising but it doesnt come out until november
Condemned is a good choice if you are a fan of horror games, because by now you can get a new copy for $20

Need some help with my television...

I just bought this television http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8275047%26type=product%26id=1171058029183 and know absolutely nothing about HDTVs. Will this be a good one for me to use with my 360? If so, how do i set it and my 360 up to it to get running as best as possible? Is there anything else i need to make the experience even better?Need some help with my television...
It will do 720p so yeah it'll be good for it! Since the TV does 720p and won't reach 1080p all you'll have to do is hook the AV HD cables up to your tv and make sure you have the switch flipped on the cable to HDTV.Need some help with my television...
Is 720 going to be my max?
Yes, 720p will be your max but there is nothing wrong with that. That's what most people have. You'll be happy especially at the discount price.720p - 1280x720 progressive1080i - 1920x1080 interlaced1080p - 1920x1080 progressive
max res of your tv is 1366 X 768, yes 720P is the max
alright cool...how good is that compared to standard def?
Not trying to make you feel bad about your purchase but if you can cancel it I would and get this one. All you would need is a VGA cable for you 360.Samsung 244T- 24in LCD Monitor Maximum Resolution: 1920 x 1200Click Here
alright cool...how good is that compared to standard def?
720p will blow Standard Def out of the water! you'll be happy even if you can't switch the one I posted.
i just bought a westinghouse LVM - 37w3 from costco for 799 plus tax, native res is 1980 X 1080. so if you want a tv that does 1080p,cheaper,bigger (37in) than the one you just bought i would really recommend you to check this one out. am getting mine delivered tomorrow.
Look here to see a comparison of 720p and 480p! Just highlight the image with your cursor!Click here!
hmm i probablycan still change it cuz it is still in the box untouched but I seriously doubt my parents would want to hassle with it and i personally don't really want to hassle with it. If the jump from SD to 720p HD is going to be that noticeable then i will be very happy with what i've got. So now do i only have to flip the switch on my Xbox 360 cord to HDTV and that is it? Or is there more things i have to do

Rofl. those comparisons made Jessica Alba look less flawless because you could see her pores and whatnot and it made Transformers look fake! hahaha. so is that 400-whatever, is that the res of SD?

Yeah i knew that much i just didnt know if 480p is a lesser version of HD or if it was SD which you just answered that for me and i just read that 780p and 1080p are almost equal to the point that many companies think 780p is better than 1080p so i am content now. Thanks again, this thread can rest in peace
