Earth Defense Force is freaking AWESOME! ...

I just wanted to make this post to encourage anyone out there with even a remote interest in action games to pick up Earth Defense Force. It is one of the single most fun experiences I have ever had in gaming. If you're on the fence and have any questions I'll be happy to answer, but I just wanted to put this out there. Earth Defense Force is freaking AWESOME! ...
How long is it? and does it have any depth in terms of gameplay or is itjust alot of running and gunning at aliens? Does it have a good story?...Earth Defense Force is freaking AWESOME! ...
Why didn't theyadd in online co-op!?! This question has been driving me crazy!

I played this game with my friend and we had loads of laughs just because of the ragdoll physics in this game are hilarious.
I agree. Best $40 I ever spent.
I might get it now.
i might try to rent it if its at my local blockbuster.
I hated it. Alot of people, including about 10 on my friends list, loved it though.

However, you can go back to any mission anytime you want, and you will probably want to for the fun of it or the achievements. The gameplay is all running around shooting things but it has some depth. One aspect is collecting items, either armor or weapons, which has a Crackdown orb like addictiveness to it. Another is the guns, which not only are there a wide variety of, but they all have there strengths and weaknesses, so the levels play different depending on which weapons you choose.

However, if enough people support it hopefully we can get some downloadable content or a full fledged sequel.
I have been wanting to get it but haven't yet.
Doesnt it get repetivte ME NO GOOD AT RINGRISH
Doesnt it get repetivte ME NO GOOD AT RINGRISH
You know, that's one of the games flaws. Somewhere around the middle the levels start to feel a bit recycled, but thankfully the game really hits its stride in the end, culminating in the absolute best final boss battle in recent memory. The last stage is really spectacular. However, one thing that keeps it fresh even in the stages that are repetitive is that you areALWAYS getting new weapons, and as I've said that really changes how you play the game.
