I just bought this television http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8275047%26type=product%26id=1171058029183 and know absolutely nothing about HDTVs. Will this be a good one for me to use with my 360? If so, how do i set it and my 360 up to it to get running as best as possible? Is there anything else i need to make the experience even better?Need some help with my television...
It will do 720p so yeah it'll be good for it! Since the TV does 720p and won't reach 1080p all you'll have to do is hook the AV HD cables up to your tv and make sure you have the switch flipped on the cable to HDTV.Need some help with my television...
Is 720 going to be my max?
Yes, 720p will be your max but there is nothing wrong with that. That's what most people have. You'll be happy especially at the discount price.720p - 1280x720 progressive1080i - 1920x1080 interlaced1080p - 1920x1080 progressive
max res of your tv is 1366 X 768, yes 720P is the max
alright cool...how good is that compared to standard def?
Not trying to make you feel bad about your purchase but if you can cancel it I would and get this one. All you would need is a VGA cable for you 360.Samsung 244T- 24in LCD Monitor Maximum Resolution: 1920 x 1200Click Here
alright cool...how good is that compared to standard def?
720p will blow Standard Def out of the water! you'll be happy even if you can't switch the one I posted.
i just bought a westinghouse LVM - 37w3 from costco for 799 plus tax, native res is 1980 X 1080. so if you want a tv that does 1080p,cheaper,bigger (37in) than the one you just bought i would really recommend you to check this one out. am getting mine delivered tomorrow.
Look here to see a comparison of 720p and 480p! Just highlight the image with your cursor!Click here!
hmm i probablycan still change it cuz it is still in the box untouched but I seriously doubt my parents would want to hassle with it and i personally don't really want to hassle with it. If the jump from SD to 720p HD is going to be that noticeable then i will be very happy with what i've got. So now do i only have to flip the switch on my Xbox 360 cord to HDTV and that is it? Or is there more things i have to do

Rofl. those comparisons made Jessica Alba look less flawless because you could see her pores and whatnot and it made Transformers look fake! hahaha. so is that 400-whatever, is that the res of SD?

Yeah i knew that much i just didnt know if 480p is a lesser version of HD or if it was SD which you just answered that for me and i just read that 780p and 1080p are almost equal to the point that many companies think 780p is better than 1080p so i am content now. Thanks again, this thread can rest in peace
