Most 360 owners have lost 1 or more 360's to the three rings of death or some other wierd error. Please explain what games u played before the error occurred and how often u had been playing ur 360 for before it happened. If u can include other detalis like tempature of room that the 360 sat etc. it could help us understand how to prevent from these erros from occuring.
I lost 2 360's myself. The first broke just after 2 days I had got it. I had been playing two games, burnout Revenge and FIFA World Cup and the games froze and an error message showed up on the screen. So I thought the games were defected so I returned them to get new copies of the same games, tried them in the same 360 and it still didn't work. I realized that is was the 360 that was defective, so I sent it back. I recieved my replaced 360 and it lasted for a while. I actually bought a Niko cooler to prevent any other errors from happening. After about 3 months I come to play my 360, but a circle of red lights just started blinking. THIS WAS NOT THE THREE RINGS OF DEATH. What happened was the fuse blew on the Niko cooler which damaged the output circuits on the back of the 360. So when I plugged the 360 in a red circle kept blinking. I think the problem was th 360 wasn't getting enough power to work. When I moved the 360 got lost in the move and som I bought a new one instead of sending the old broken one back.360 Graveyard
Lol, room temperature? Are you serious? I don't think there's anything you can do, it's a fault with the console and that's that. Microsoft are updating the broken consoles with something to keep it cooler as far as I know and have read on the forums.360 Graveyard
*Touches Wood*I've never lost a aconsole due to it failing on me, I think I must have luck I'm still on my first 360 (and hopefully my last) same with my Wii, and my old PS2, Dc %26 N64 are still the first versions I bought. I've just tempted fate now I know it.
Me neither I dont think anyone of the systems I have owned have ever failed, I dont know if its luck or that other people dont know how to look after things so well.PS, My Sega still works.
iv had mine for over a year now and it works fine. temp would have an affect as would ventalation like having it on carpet or what not. but over all its luck i think
Its to do with the american power grid, hence why Britain has no problems. Theres a person on youtubewho can fake the three lights, i guess most people didn't notice that they messed ahout with the plugs.
2 of my consoles broke playing Backwards Compatible games. Halo or Halo 2
Thankfully *touches wood* I have never had a console fail me in way that would mean it has left this world to go to the big console in the sky. I have been nervouos though about my 360 thanks to the scare monering on these boards but last weekend I hammered it for two 12 hour sessions and it didn't let me down at all.
You do know that's what the sticky is for up top right? And reading your post, the obvious culprit was the Nyko cooler. You are right about the 360 not getting enough power, because the cooler messes with the power distribution. Avoid those like the plague.
