A different path Ms shouldve taken with ...

With H3, the 360 flagship game, might beneeding 2 disk9 gig dvdssure doesn't seemlike enough space. Along side with rockstar comments about lack of spaceand hddsthat gave me more concern that 360 can sprint the 50-yddash but canrun the mile. Now i see where games age headed MS could've down things differently...1) The 360 could have created their own disk format called whatever and it could of held up to 25-40 gigs of space. Now the drive that comes with the system plays this format and dvds. Then when the ps3 dropped ms could've release a hd-dvd add-on and blu-ray add oneach for$ 200. This would've made the 360 unstoppable in my eyes cause graphics and games aren't a problem to me.OR2) MS shouldve reserved 10gigs of space on hddsfor games onlyto stream game data. Kinda like what the pc does. the 20 gig hdd already has 9 gigs missing so why couldnt they put in another 10 for gaming only. This would put future worries of the industry to rest.A different path Ms shouldve taken with ...
According to your logic, their best move would have been to release with built in HD-DVD player, more disk space, but doesn't require external disk player purchase for next-gen movies. We would have paid $600 for it though, they went through positives and negatives and made the right choice IMOA different path Ms shouldve taken with ...

IfI wouldve meant that i wouldve said that. The way I explained it the 360 still wouldve been at 300 and 400 becausehavingthe add onsofhd-dvd and blu ray still gives the gamer the choice in buying a hd-dvd or blu ray player. The 200 bucks your adding on comes from a built in hd-dvd which is what imNOT suggesting. Even saving the space on the hdd for games still keeps the price down.
they made the right choice as is
Bungie has confirmed that Halo 3 is on one disc.
TC, bungie.net is your friend.  The 2 disc thing was an error not on Bungie's part but MS's, and the game will not be on 2 discs..  The collector's edition is a 360 executable, meaning it operates exactly like a game disc.  As such, it had to go through the proper channels before release, and Bungie simply referred to it as 'game disc 2'.
