Wow, MS customer support is terrible.

My Xbox 360 died a week back, I was originally no under warrenty, but after learning I have had a on and off 3 ring of death problem on a launch console, they esclated it to the special repair team that could make it free. They set up a repair last Sunday, and told me I would be contacted every 48-72 hours and my box would be shipping. After they didn't call and their ext. was busy all day. I called 1-800-4MY-XBOX, they told me, that it was a mistake and my next call would be today....Sunday. I was called today and today told their was a glitch in the system and something was not processed rightw and that I would be called this upcoming Tuesday. They then hang up, I have no clue if, my box was shipped...etc.Not to mention i had to wiat and etra weak..What do you do with all the money MS....Burn it?Wow, MS customer support is terrible.
yeah I think there should be more effort put towards customer serviceWow, MS customer support is terrible.
Its a good thing I haven't bought one yet, even though I could. I got a PS3/PC gaming setup instead. I made the right choices in investing into something that won't break down within a year or two.
I had to get mine repaired. I thought the customer service was excellent. Sucks to be you I guess.
HAHA thats what they told me when my box was supposed to be shipped out. Instead of 3-5 days it took 8 days for them to get me my repair box because of a ''glitch in the system''. So much for priority
my box was shipped out on time i originally thought i didnt have warranty on my 360 as i got it close to launch time. But luckily i called and some guy who didnt sound like he spoke english to well told me i had warranty on it. Got my box on time i shipped it out and they have recieved it. They have it since the 13th does anyone know about how long they take before they ship it back out? I havent heard from them since they recieved it.

Microsoft's customer support is subsidized out of like Saudia Arabia.....
i am suffering from the data exchange problem w/live authentication, i called them up and tld them that it is crap that i would have to buy all downloads in order to play offline, she said yeah you're pretty much screwed, i said thanks alot she said you're welcome and hngup. what a ****
My buddy sent out his 360 in March and still has not received it. MS said that it was lost by Fed Ex, and Fed Ex says it was lost my MS. It's been really stupid what he has gone through, and it has totally left him soured on MS and I don't blame him. I don't understand why the uber rich Microsoft won't just send him a new 360....no one knows where his system is and he's been without it for 3 months.
Mine broke 3 times. The first two times I called customer support it was ok. Not good at all, since they lied to me, but regardless I got it back within two weeks both times. Now, the third time, I'm waiting 3 weeks already and they told me it would take two weeks or under some weird circumstances three weeks max. I'm already waiting longer then three weeks and I still haven't received a message that it's on it's way back to me.Also, I used UPS tracking system to see when they received it. They received it one day after I send it in. And I got a message from Microsoft a week ago that they just received it. Which, simply isn't true. The tracking system doesn't lie. I'm going to call them later today to ask what's up. They better have a good excuse. Otherwise, I will ask for compensation.

I am having the same problem now, where Microsoft blamed UPS that they delivered it late. While I used the tracking system, I could see UPS delivered very fast and MS is just lying about it. A friend of mine had the exact same thing. You need to tell your friend to call MS and raise hell. Seriously, don't be light on them. They pull off this stuff all the time. You need to keep calling them and demanding you get a 360 back and you don't care how, they just have to do it.
I got a 360 at launch and loved it for about 6 1/2 months. Then i was hit with the red ring of death, so i called MS( and mind you this was after spending about $1100 on accessories and games and live.( also i didn't get a warranty because a friend had had an xbox for 3 years with no problems)) and apparantly my 6 month warranty had just run out, So Iasked the customer service representative whatI should do? He told me ''Without a warranty it will cost you $129.99 to fix.'' and then proceeded to practically beg for my CC# and i told him to hold on for a sec and explain why, after spending all of this money on a console I had just bought 6 1/2 months ago, should i even be forced into this situation.I should be treated with some degree respect andgood service instead of just another sucker who got screwed.I told him to go f#$% himself and tellBill to do the same. Now it's a year and a half later andI've cooled down some. Ibought me a refurbished360 from Gamestopwith a warranty from Gamestop and yes i did miss my original 360 but the way i was treated they are lucky to have my business at all. Besides if i have a problem with it this time all i have to do is go up to Gamestop and have it replaced on the spot.
Yeah, their customer support is terrible. Earlier this year Social Engineers got passwords of other gamers and messed up their accounts by calling Customer Support and pretending to be them.
Ya their support is pretty bad. When my first 360 died after 10 months i called them up the same day and the guy got my address and everything and was like we'll send it right out, you should have it within the week. A week goes by and no box. I call them back up and the guy tells me there was a shipping mistake and the box wasn't sent and they would send it again...told 3 days and i should have it. 3 days goes by and no box so i gave them a few more days and still nothing. By this point i'm over 2 weeks waiting for the box so i went to my local hardware store and bought all the tools needed to open the 360 and i'm currently having some fun trying to fix it myself. Works fairly well actually. But to add to this frustration about them it has now been like 2 months since i called them last and the box never got to me. Likely never even got shipped. For a company as big as they are they should have a solid system in place. I'm quite shocked that they have all these ''glitches'' or ''mistakes'' soo often when dealing with people.
my last dead 360 turnaround: 55 days, good luck and start counting
well i had a 3 month xbox live membership and i knew it was running out but they didnt cancel my account then the day i get forza 2 and shadowrun it gets cancelled so i added the money the next day on my credit card but it wouldnt accept it so first i called mastercard and they said it was fine and no one has tried to charge it so i call microsoft and after 3 hours they finally told me that thye cant manually charge it and the computer cant charge it till the 23 of this month which i dont understand why

Pathetic, Microsoft is just an oddball company. I really didnt even care after the 1st month because i had 600 dollars insurance on it so if there was a mistake made by either party i was getting my money back regardless, and so i just decided to pick up my ps3 at that time (though i always planned on getting one). Simply i HATE microsoft, but i love the games the 360 is supplying. Screw you MS!!
