Three Red Lights Error HELP!!

Today i went to gamespot and bought Nascar 06 for the xbox (note not the 360) I put it into my xbox and it said that i need to download the update to play it on ym 360. So i go and download the update (from xbox.com), burn it to a CD, put it into my xbox and it runs the update. Then when i put Nascar 06 in it says that it needs to update. So i run the update again and it says that i already ran the update. I put Nascar in one more time and this time the xbox froze. I turned it off and tried again, and same thing. Then i wanted to see if i could get a normal 360 game to work so i put in NBA 2k6 (for the xbox 360) and i got the 3 red light error. Will Microsoft give me a new xbox 360 since it was THEIR UPDATE THAT BROKE MY MACHINEThree Red Lights Error HELP!!
Try taking your hard drive out and then turning on your 360 that might make it work, but I highly doubt you will get microsoft to fix your 360 for freeunless you are still under warrenty. Get ready to shell out over a 100 bucks if its not under warrentyThree Red Lights Error HELP!!
i got mine around Christmas 2006...so it should still be under warranty

If not look on ebay for a repair company or person to fix it as it will cost you less than MS will charge, I was glad to help no need to thank me.
Yea if you got it christmas 06 i will still be under warrenty just call 18004myxbox and talk to them
I realize it probably wasnt there update just very odd that it breaks down FOR THE FIRST TIME right after i install there updatte
