Xbox 360 F.A.Q.

Alot of people have questions about the 360 and constantly post them in the forum creating topics that don't improe the quality of our board so here it is. The 360 F.A.Q.(If I'm forgetting anything or there is a question you have that is not answered then please post it here or send me a PM)1. What is the difference between the Premium, Core, and Elite systems? (Currently looking for full list)
2. Do I need HDD to play on live? No, but if you want to save demos and Arcade games then you will need a HDD.3. What's the difference between Silver and Gold? The only major difference worth noting is that Gold allows you to play with other people accross the world.4. Do I need an HDTV to truly experience the true next gen experience? Some say yes, others say no. It's all personal preference.5. Should I buy one of those coolers for my system? NO, NO, AND NO. They have caused tons of touble for people and their systems. So unless you want your system possibly dead then don't bother with it.

6. Should I buy Quake 4 or Condemned? My personal response is: I don't care. It's your choice. Read reviews, look at gameplay vids, download demos. It's all your choice. Most of the time people recommend both equally so it doesn't really help anything.7. I am buying a 360 soon, which games should I get? I don't know you. That question does not help. At least state what types of games you like or check out some websites and reviews for games. Hopefully someone will make a recommended games list soon.8. How do I change the look of my dashboard and things? Go to settings>themes. Choose one of the pre-installed ones or buy some from marketplace. If you have a way to transfer pictures from your computer then you can use those pics.9. What is Xbox backward compatibility? Xbox backward compatibility enables original Xbox games on the compatibility list to be played on your Xbox 360 console. Backward compatibility requires the Xbox360 HDD10. Can I transfer my old Xbox saves to my 360? No. 11. When my friend visits, can't he just download his Xbox 360 gamer profile from Xbox Live to my console? Technically, yes. But we urge him and you, when you roam not to do this. Unlike your gamertag on the original Xbox system, your gamer profile can exist only in one place at one time, so downloading (or ''recovering'') your profile to a friend's system will invalidate the version of your profile that's still on your Xbox 360 hard drive, endangering any offline achievements and game saves since your last visit to Xbox Live.

I don't really see the usefulness in this. Most of them are common things most people know, or will simply take one click on Google to find out. It might've been useful when the Xbox had just come out, when people didn't know.. Sorry, I do not mean to be disrespectful, nor is this flaming. I simply don't like when people ask to have their threads stickied. If it's worth sticky, then it will become a sticky.

Oh, and for a comparison of the consoles, look at Wikipedia.

People who ask those questions in the forums are either looking for attention, or incapable of using the internet or go shopping.
